About the role

Ryder is hiring a NON-CDL Truck Driver in Edgewood, NY. The position offers weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about.

Responsibilities

  • Safely drive a vehicle within and comply with safety regulations, continuous training, and customer service.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards, and guidelines.
  • Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards.
  • Maintain accurate records.
  • Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum 21 years of age.
  • Minimum of 6 months of verifiable driving experience.
  • Pass a Ryder Drug Test.
  • Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years.
  • Pass a DOT physical.
  • Pass a Ryder road test.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Able to follow written and/or oral instructions.
  • Able to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 21 years of age.
  • Minimum of 6 months of verifiable driving experience.

  • $1140 or more per week.

Schedule

  • Monday – Friday
  • No weekends
  • Start time: 5:00 AM
