Driver NON CDL Local No Weekends

About the role

Ryder is hiring a NON‑CDL Truck Driver based in Carnegie, PA. The position offers weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career with local home‑daily routes within an 80‑mile radius. Drivers operate box trucks (16′, 22′, 26′) equipped with pallet jack, lift gate and hand truck, hauling touch‑auto‑parts freight. Ryder provides paid training on all equipment and maintains a fleet of well‑maintained, safe trucks (36 months or newer) with 24/7 roadside service and fueling at over 800 nationwide locations.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
• Maintaining accurate records
• Loading/unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by the customer
• Other tasks as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Minimum of 6 months of verifiable driving experience
• Pass a Ryder drug test
• Verifiable driving experience in like equipment: 6 months in the past 3 years, OR 2 years within the last 5 years, OR 5 years within the last 10 years
• Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check (including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years)
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Hold a valid driver’s license
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures

Pay

• Weekly pay: $930‑$1,130
• Solo miles pay: $0.35 per mile
• Solo stops pay: $12.00 per stop

Schedule

• Paid training schedule: Monday – Friday, no weekends
• Regular schedule: Monday – Friday, 40+ hours per week
• Start time: 6:00
