About the Role
This position is responsible for ensuring timely delivery of goods to customer sites as needed or as part of a pre-defined route, reviewing orders prior to delivery to verify accuracy, and loading and unloading goods. The role involves driving Encore-owned, leased, or rented trucks with a gross vehicle weight of less than 26,001 lbs and obtaining and maintaining a medium-duty DOT certification as required by state law (Non-CDL). This position reports to the Warehouse Operations Manager.
Responsibilities
- Driving, Delivery, and Pick-up:
- Drive Encore-owned, leased, or rented vehicles including vans and box trucks with a gross vehicle weight of less than 26,001 lbs.
- Maintain set routes and schedules as directed by a supervisor to meet customer expectations.
- Load and unload vehicles.
- Review orders for accuracy during both delivery and pickup to ensure all items are accounted for.
- Ensure contents are properly secured inside the truck to prevent breakage or damage to gear.
- Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive according to weather/road conditions.
- Complete manual and/or electronic log books based on assigned region.
- Customer Service:
- Provide superior customer service and strive to exceed the needs and expectations of both internal and external customers.
- Maintain positive relationships with all clients through effective communication and interaction.
- Ensure consistent communication with Dispatcher as needed.
- Equipment Handling:
- Assist hotel and warehouse teams with pulling, receiving, and transportation of equipment.
- Participate in the annual physical inventory process.
- Perform quality control and equipment staging in the warehouse as directed (drivers are not allowed to leave trucks).
- Ensure all equipment is picked up and/or delivered on site.
- Vehicle Maintenance:
- Work with the dispatcher or warehouse supervisors to ensure vehicles are well maintained through scheduled service appointments.
- Maintain the overall appearance of vehicles and ensure they are kept clean and free of debris.
- Perform daily inspections on vehicles prior to routes and complete Driver Vehicle Inspection logs before each trip.
- Maintain and replenish all vehicle fluids as needed (e.g., wiper fluid, DEF).
- Identify mechanical maintenance needs as they occur.
- Report any vehicle damages or traffic violations to an immediate supervisor in a timely manner.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to drive trucks with a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) under 26,001 lbs.
- Valid Driver’s License with a minimum of 2 years of driving experience.
- Clean driving record.

- General understanding of proper load securement.
- Proficient in using GPS and other routing systems.
- Ability to drive or sit for long hours at a time.

Work Environment
Work is generally performed in a hotel, warehouse, or vehicle on the road. Team members will frequently visit other Encore locations and non-Encore venues for meetings and/or deliveries. Working times will include days and may include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Team members must adhere to appearance guidelines as defined by Encore.
When in the warehouse, work will be completed in an environment with exposure to outdoor temperatures, dirt, sand, and/or dust. The working conditions will vary between moderately quiet to noisy volumes. Team members may use high-end audio-visual equipment and electrical components. Working times may include irregular hours and on-call status, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Pay
Hourly pay range: $18.77 - $24.40. The compensation offered for this role is determined based on the qualifications outlined in the job posting for the specified location. Final compensation is based on factors including location, travel, relevant work experience, or particular skills and expertise. Some positions may be eligible for other compensation such as potential overtime, bonuses, or incentives.
