Driver Non CDL

About the role

Executes daily deliveries using a 26-foot Non-CDL Box Truck to customers. Home daily – no overnight routes.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads trucks by hand or pallet jack; limited use of lift gates
• Provides excellent customer service
• Prepares product for shipping to include boxing and shrink wrapping
• Ensures deliveries are made in a safe and timely manner to meet customer needs
• Complies with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
• Conducts pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any issues
• Additional duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent education
• Valid driver’s license
• Current valid DOT medical card
• 21+ years of age
• 1+ years of driving experience operating a 26-foot box truck
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently or with a team
• Prior warehouse experience
• Good customer service skills
• Attention to detail
• Effective communication skills (speaking, writing, active listening)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Authorized to work in the United States

Work Environment

• Frequently exposed to moving mechanical equipment such as forklifts and other machinery
• Noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud
• Works in temperature conditions between 45 to 95 degrees Fahrenheit; may occasionally exceed 95 degrees Fahrenheit

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to talk and hear
• Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach/lift with hands and arms up to 50 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
