About the role

Located in Purvis, MS. IMMEDIATELY HIRING! We’re hiring Ambulance Operators to respond to emergency and/or non-emergency transportation requests and deliver high-quality care, treatment, and customer service to patients. This is a full-time opportunity.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to operation and dispatch requests using necessary tools, maps, and addresses to efficiently transport customers to and from facilities in a timely manner.
  • Clearly document trip information details and adhere to company policies and procedures while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights.
  • Maintain a safe and clean vehicle environment for patients; complete the regular mechanical checklist at the start of shifts and report any vehicle issues to the Fleet Manager as needed.
  • Use appropriate communication methods including standard radio transmission codes to effectively respond and route patients and comply with the company’s information security standards.
  • Operate transportation equipment including stretcher, hydraulic lift, and wheelchair; use protective personal equipment and manage disposal of supplies as necessary.
  • Work collaboratively and professionally with allied health and public safety personnel, fellow drivers, and the operations team.

Qualifications

  • State Driver’s License
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • CPR card (Preferred)
  • Driving record in compliance with company policy
  • Pass Physical Agility Test
  • Some work experience, preferably in healthcare
