Responsibilities
- Respond to operation and dispatch requests and use necessary tools, maps and addresses to efficiently transport customers.
- Clearly document trip information details and adhere to company policies and procedures while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights.
- Maintain a safe and clean vehicle environment for patients, complete the regular mechanical checklist at the start of shifts and report any vehicle issues to the Fleet Manager as needed.
- Use appropriate communication methods including standard radio transmission codes to effectively respond and route patients and comply with the company’s information security standards.
- Operate transportation equipment including stretcher, hydraulic lift, wheelchair as well as be able to use protective personal equipment and manage disposal of supplies as necessary.
- Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow drivers and operations team.
Requirements
- State Driver’s License
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- CPR card (Preferred)
- Driving record in compliance with company policy
- Pass Physical Agility Test
