Driver/Laborer

Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensures proper use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
• Demonstrates defensive driving skills
• Able to park and back up vehicles
• Understands work-zone, landing-zone, drop-zone guidelines
• Performs job site hazard inspection
• Performs traffic control
• Sets up and positions woodchipper
• Demonstrates proper woodchipper operation
• Equipment preparation and start up
• Able to do basic knots and rope handling
• Being mindful about safety and avoiding struck-by injuries
• Dragging and stacking brush and other materials
• Operation and storage of chain saws, gas and oil, and other equipment

Qualifications

• MUST hold valid CDL A, B or C and willing to acquire one as a condition of employment
• Able to lift 50 pounds
• Able to bend and stand for long periods of time
• Diligent attention to detail and safety
• Excellent verbal communication and customer orientation
• Must pass a background check and drug test

Working Conditions

• Sometimes includes both high heat and cold temperatures
