Driver / Laborer

About the role

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Akron is seeking dedicated team members to join our moving and packing crew. Every day is unique, and every move presents new challenges. Our goal is to assist our customers efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Work together to provide exceptional customer service as you safely move, pack, and unpack customer belongings
• Greet customers upon arrival and complete a walk-through of the home/business
• Load and unload a 26-foot moving truck
• Complete paperwork and payment collection
• Safely operate the truck and perform daily truck inspections and moving equipment inventory checks

Requirements

• We hire for attitude and train for skill; however, experience in general labor positions such as truck driving, construction, landscaping, or warehouse labor is helpful.
• MUST BE WILLING TO SUBMIT TO A PRE-EMPLOYMENT BACKGROUND CHECK AND DRUG SCREENING
• Valid drivers license and a good driving record required for all drivers
• A high school diploma or GED is preferred
• Must be 21 years or older for drivers due to insurance restrictions
• Ability to communicate professionally, verbally, and in writing, in English
• Good work ethic and a positive, professional attitude
• Physical stamina to lift/carry 100 pounds or more repeatedly throughout the day
• Good hand-eye coordination
