About the role

The right person balances hunter mentality with sound judgment. Speed matters – but quality, expectation-setting, and retention matter more.

Responsibilities

• Source, screen, and close qualified driver candidates
• Conduct phone-based interviews focused on Nussbaum compatibility, job fit, and expectations
• Build rapport quickly and guide candidates through the hiring process
• Set clear pay, schedule, and job expectations from the first conversation

Requirements

• Treat every lead like a sales opportunity
• Seek to positively impact the person on the other end, regardless of hire decision
• Respond immediately to inbound interest, with a sense of urgency
• Proactively generate leads beyond inbound applications
• Screen thoroughly, identify red flags, and confidently say “no” when needed
• Set clear, accurate job expectations to ensure strong retention
• Take full accountability for results, quality of hire, and long-term outcomes
• Bounce back quickly from rejection
