Driver Helper- Johnstown

About the Role

As a Driver Helper, you will assist the Driver in every aspect of product delivery to our customers, ensuring products arrive at their destination on time and in good condition. You’ll ride with and support Drivers on intrastate and interstate routes, helping to load and unload various products while adhering to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. This role is essential to America’s food distribution system and serves as the face of our company, building lasting relationships with customers.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Driver in the safe and accurate delivery of products to customers in a timely and efficient manner.
• Load and unload trucks and/or company vehicles.
• Place products in areas identified by customers.
• Complete required documentation promptly.
• Communicate and interact professionally with customers, vendors, and co-workers to answer questions accurately and timely.
• Function as a team member within the department and organization, performing any assigned duties to best serve the company.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• 6+ months of experience in a warehouse environment and interfacing with customers within the foodservice industry.
• Pass a post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
