Driver Helper- Bronx NY

About the role

Royal Waste Services is looking for a safety‑conscious Driver Helper to join our Bronx team. This role supports garbage truck operations by manually collecting solid waste along designated routes and transporting materials to appropriate disposal sites.

Responsibilities

• Ride along with the driver to assist with customer service
• Load refuse bags and bring containers to the truck for proper disposal
• Direct the driver when backing the vehicle
• Assist with basic vehicle maintenance
• Operate packing mechanisms and levers to activate the loading arm
• Clean the packer blade and truck body
• Deliver positive customer service interactions
• Perform other job‑related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Must have a CDL permit
• Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the day
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions

Pay

$26.00 per hour

Schedule

Work schedule includes nights and weekends (6 days)
