Driver (Full-time) Sun-Thurs

Essential Job Duties

• Picks up and delivers passengers daily to arrive and depart on time from Piper Shores campus.
• Completes a safety check of the vehicle before transporting daily passengers.
• Accurately records vehicle mileage and passenger number attendance for all scheduled transportation.
• Maintains vehicle cleanliness inside and out.
• Safeguards Piper Shores’ vehicles by ensuring they are fueled up and in proper operating condition.
• Submits gas receipts to Local Employee Committee (LEC).
• Notifies supervisor of necessary vehicle repairs and/or malfunctions.
• Notifies supervisor of passenger concerns, problems, or incidents immediately.
• Performs miscellaneous trips for Administration as necessary.

Skills And Qualifications

• High school or equivalent education preferred.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, read maps efficiently, and perform simple arithmetic.
• Valid driver’s license in the State of Maine and good driving record.
• Must be able to maintain a courteous, friendly, and helpful manner with staff and residents at all times.
• Must be able to interpret and follow map directions.
• Must be able to perform routine maintenance on vehicles and to keep vehicles clean.
