Driver - Full time (M-F 6:30am-2:30pm)

About the role

The Driver operates a company vehicle to transport clients and facility visitors.

Schedule

• Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM or 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Comply with local traffic regulations.
• Regulate heating, lighting, and ventilating systems for passenger comfort.
• Report delays or accidents.
• Load or unload baggage or express checked by passengers in the baggage compartment.
• Assist passengers to enter and leave the vehicle and hold umbrellas in wet weather.
• Perform miscellaneous errands such as store runs for patients and mail to/from the post office.
• Make overnight drives and extended trips requiring irregular hours.
• Keep the vehicle clean, polished, and in operating condition.
• Comply with the company dress code.
• Greet all clients professionally and politely during transports.
• Make new clients feel welcomed and comfortable during trips.
• Answer questions to help orient new clients before arrival at the facility.
• Comply with the company’s drug-free work environment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License with an insurable driving record.
• At least 2 years of previous commercial driving experience.
• Working knowledge of vehicle safety and control systems.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations governing safe driving, hours of service, inspection, and maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret written information; write clearly and informatively; edit work for spelling and grammar.
• Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listen and get clarification; respond well to questions.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and flexible hours.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged sitting at a desk.
• Must be able to lift 15 pounds at a time.
