Driver/Field Technician

Responsibilities

  • Deliver and collect environmental samples, invoices, and reports to and from various field sites, clients, and project offices.
  • Prepare sampling containers and field equipment for testing.
  • Perform basic short hold-time field tests.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork accurately, including Chain of Custody documentation.
  • Accurately log samples into the laboratory’s LIMS and label each with a unique identification number.
  • Transport collected samples to appropriate storage locations within the lab.
  • Interact professionally with customers and project managers; promptly report any quality or documentation issues.
  • Aid with receiving of supplies and freight when on site.
  • Travel to various project sites and offices to support route sampling.
  • Maintain the company vehicle in safe, roadworthy condition; ensure all maintenance and logs are documented.
  • Maintain accurate documents and records related to the vehicle and its maintenance.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid light vehicle driving license for the country/state of operation.
  • Good English skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work in teams and work under pressure.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50+ lbs and perform physical field duties.
