Driver - Evening shift

Shift: Evening (Monday - Thursday, 3:30 pm - 10:30 pm)
Location: Holy Cross Hospital, Silver Spring, Maryland

About the Role

The Driver will need to possess excellent people skills and the ability to get along well with passengers. Responsibilities include performing routine vehicle checks and communicating clearly with passengers regarding location and departure/arrival times.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine checks such as oil and water on all security vehicles.
• Demonstrate understanding of Maryland traffic regulations.
• Clearly communicate location and departure/arrival times over the phone.
• Wear a Holy Cross Health (HCH) uniform.
• Possess and operate a cell phone.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience as a Driver (4 years).
• Valid Maryland Driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Clean driving record demonstrating safe and lawful vehicle operation.
• Pass certification in shipping infectious substances/dangerous goods course within the first 2 days of orientation.
• Pass the medication security health stream course.

Pay

Pay Range: $18.00 - $21.42 per hour. Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may vary based on location.
