About the Role
Join our team as a driver where you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring timely delivery of rental equipment orders while adhering to all safety and compliance standards. When not on the road, you’ll maintain our top-notch rental equipment in the warehouse to guarantee its immediate safe utilization.
Responsibilities
- Drive company vehicles to transport rental equipment in a safe and timely manner.
- Load equipment orders for delivery, confirming all equipment on each order is accounted for.
- Pick up equipment and utilize iPad to process equipment return in-bound order system, verifying the condition of returned items and ensuring all equipment is accurately accounted for.
- Report all customer complaints or issues to Foreman.
- Ensure proper maintenance of vehicles including checking oil, fuel, and cleanliness; report any issues to manager.
- Perform errands as requested.
- Disassemble, troubleshoot, repair, reassemble, and test various types of electrical, hand-operated, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on rental equipment.
- Prepare rental equipment orders and conduct inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Operate forklift to load and unload delivery vehicles and transport equipment within the warehouse as part of daily operations.
Requirements
- Commercial driving experience required.
- Must possess a valid Illinois Driver's License, Class C or above.
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Driving record must meet insurance underwriting requirements.
- No DUI, reckless driving, or serious moving violations within the past 5 years.
- No more than 2 moving violations within the last 3 years.
- No more than 2 preventable incidents within the last 3 years.
- Must be able to pass a hair follicle drug screening.
- DOT certification required upon commencement of employment; certification must be maintained.
- Mechanical background or aptitude strongly desired.
- Prior warehouse/manufacturing or related work required.
- Experience working on air hoists, come alongs, manual hoists, and electric hoists desired.
- Prior forklift experience strongly preferred.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to push/pull up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to lift/carry up to 55 lbs.
All employment offers are contingent upon the ability to pass a background check, employment verifications, and a hair follicle drug test.
Schedule
Monday – Friday (7:00 am - 3:30 pm shift), full-time. Occasional overtime may be required.
Pay
Minimum starting pay: $28.27 per hour.
