Driver (DOT-CDL)

About the role

This position provides fixed route coverage for the Transportation Department and coverage for all specialty appointments during fixed routes downtime. The Driver (DOT-CDL) ensures all clients receive necessary transportation services to and from PACE Center facilities and specialty appointments, including any required special assistance. The role also involves compliance with all DOT regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide fixed route transportation coverage for the Transportation Department.
• Cover specialty appointments during downtime from fixed routes.
• Assist clients with transportation needs to and from PACE Center facilities and specialty appointments.
• Comply with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.

Requirements

• Current State of California Class B driver’s license with P endorsement for multiple passengers.
• Clean driving record within the past 3 years.
• Minimum two years of driving experience.
• Experience working with geriatric and/or frail elderly populations preferred.
• Ability to obtain an LA DOT city permit.
• Valid BLS certification or higher, following American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross guidelines.

Pay

Pay for this job starts at $25.75 hourly. Actual salary offers consider factors such as budget, experience, skills, education, licensure, certifications, and business needs. The range is subject to change and may include discretionary bonuses or incentives.
