Driver/ Dockworker

About the role

This position involves the timely pickup, labeling, loading, and delivery of shipments using the required equipment, policies, and procedures. Driver/Dockworkers may drive a tractor-trailer unit to customer locations and return to the original domicile during the same shift. The role includes loading, unloading, shipping, receiving, scanning, sorting, and stocking packages, as well as delivering and picking up packages to and from residential and/or commercial properties. The position ensures customer service through efficiency, dedication, and the use of technology to aid in delivery services.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload shipments using Material Handling Equipment (MHE) such as pallet movers and stand-up forklifts.
• Deliver and pick up packages to and from residential and/or commercial properties.
• Comply with UPS appearance guidelines and wear the company-provided uniform.
• Utilize safe transportation methods to travel to and from destinations.
• Leverage technology to effectively aid in delivery services.
• Ensure the best customer service through efficiency and dedication.
• Lift up to 70 lbs.

Requirements

• Valid CDL license (Commercial Driver’s License) in home state.
• HazMat endorsement.
• Pass a UPS road test, DOT physical (including a drug screen), and all necessary background checks.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen, National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer.
• Ability to work days, nights, and/or weekends.
