Key Responsibilities
- Setting up, operating, and adjusting Swiss lathe machines to produce precision components
- Interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
- Monitoring machine performance and ensuring parts meet quality and tolerance standards
- Using precision measuring instruments for inspection and verification
- Troubleshooting equipment issues, performing minor repairs, and optimizing processes
- Recommending tooling, fixturing, and process improvements for efficiency and quality
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of Swiss lathe setup experience in manufacturing
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings
- Experience with precision measuring instruments
- High School diploma or GED
- PREFERRED SKILLS: hand and CAM programming, GD&T, and G-code proficiency
- Strong attention to detail, mathematical skills, and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
