About the role
McLane has been a leader in the distribution industry since 1894. As a Class B Driver, you'll drive a straight truck, box truck, or other appropriate vehicle to transport food staples and specialty products to various customer locations. What you'll do
- Operate a straight truck, box truck, or other appropriate vehicle to convey products to customer sites
- Unload and place all products in customer-designated food-safe storage areas
- Perform warehouse-related duties when not making deliveries
- Work safely to prevent injury to people and damage to products
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- At least 21 years of age
- Valid Class B commercial driver's license (CDL-B)
- Ability to lift and move product and pallets which may weigh up to 75 pounds
- Ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely, including understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role
