Driver Class B

About the role

As a Class B Driver at McLane, you will drive a straight truck, box truck, or other appropriate vehicle to transport food staples and specialty products to various customer locations. This role combines driving responsibilities with warehouse-related duties to ensure products are delivered and stored safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Operate a straight truck, box truck, or other appropriate vehicle to convey products to customer sites.
• Unload and place all products in customer-designated food-safe storage areas.
• Perform warehouse-related duties when not making deliveries.
• Work safely to prevent injury to people and damage to products.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• At least 21 years of age.
• Valid Class B commercial driver's license (CDL-B).
• Ability to lift and move product and pallets which may weigh up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely, including understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role.
