About the role

Clean Harbors in Riverside, CA is seeking a Class A CDL Driver to operate a variety of heavy and light duty trucks and work equipment at customer sites, including vacuum trucks, Cuscos, guzzlers, and roll offs. The role involves performing driving and non‑driving duties on and off customer sites associated with hazardous waste clean‑up. Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner
• Operate commercial trucks and assist field laborers when needed (team atmosphere where everyone helps)
• Operate a variety of Class A trucks
• Loading and unloading of trucks
• Perform manual labor on site to ensure fulfillment of customer needs
• Properly placard vehicles to meet Company and DOT requirements/regulations
• Maintain daily logs, time sheets, and various reports
• Follow all local, state (provincial) and federal compliance regulations and rules
• Safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT, local, state (provincial) and federal requirements
• Safely observe all corporate operating guidelines and procedures
• Observe all company environmental health and safety operating guidelines
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Be on call for emergency response on a rotating basis every other week (as required by position)
• Perform site‑remediation, equipment decontamination, and handling of hazardous materials (as required by position)

Qualifications

• Required: Valid Class A CDL
• Required: Ability to obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsement within 90 days of employment
• Required: Ability to use various mobile devices
• Required: Perform physical functions per job requirements
• Required: Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical
• Required: Meet facial hair standards per OSHA's Respiratory Protection Standard (29 CFR 1910.34) if respirators are required
• Preferred: Commercial driver experience
• Preferred: Hazmat and Tanker endorsement
• Preferred: Previous Hazmat experience
• Preferred: Ability to operate a manual transmission
• Preferred: Previous manual labor experience

Pay

$26‑$28 per hour plus a $7,000 sign‑on bonus.

Schedule

5 AM start time, 10‑12 hour days, home every night with occasional weekend work; significant overtime available.
