Driver Class A-Truck Driver - HAZMAT & Emergency Response

About the role

We are seeking a Class A CDL Driver to operate a variety of heavy and light-duty trucks and work equipment at customer sites, including vacuum trucks, Cuscos, guzzlers, and roll-offs. This role involves driving and non-driving duties associated with hazardous waste clean-up, both on and off customer sites. All new hires must attend a two-week training academy; travel expenses are paid by the company, and per diem is provided.

Pay

Hourly range: $27.00 - $28.00

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes.
• Operate commercial trucks and assist field laborers when needed in a team atmosphere.
• Operate a variety of Class A trucks, including loading and unloading.
• Perform manual labor on-site to fulfill customer needs.
• Properly placard vehicles to meet Company and DOT requirements/regulations.
• Maintain daily logs, time sheets, and various reports.
• Follow all local, state (provincial), and federal compliance regulations and rules.
• Safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT, local, state (provincial), and federal requirements.
• Observe all corporate operating guidelines and procedures, including environmental health and safety.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including emergency response on a rotating on-call basis every other week.
• Conduct site remediation, equipment decontamination, and handle hazardous materials, as required by position.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Ability to operate a manual transmission.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.
• Ability to use various mobile devices.
• Perform physical functions as per job requirements.
• Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical, as required by position.
• Per OSHA's Respiratory Protection Standard, 29 CFR 1910.34, employees in positions requiring respirators must meet facial hair standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Commercial driver experience.
• Previous Hazmat experience.
• Previous manual labor experience.
