Driver Class A

About the role

As a Class A Driver at OBE, you will be responsible for transporting and unloading product to customers, interacting daily to resolve issues, and reporting to the Fleet Manager. This role is ideal for a safety-conscious, self-motivated individual who is flexible with shift start and end times. You will be a vital member of the Fleet Department, contributing to projects that shape how people live, work, heal, learn, and play.

Responsibilities

• Handle and load/unload glass and/or metal products, including loose, crated, and racked glass, metal, and associated products.
• Perform load securement and daily pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Complete multiple deliveries while providing excellent customer service.
• Operate boom cranes as needed.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
• Safely perform tasks in adherence to all DOT regulations, safety policies, and procedures, including Critical Safety Rules.

Requirements

• Compliance with all DOT requirements, including an unexpired Medical Examiners Certificate.
• Flexibility with start and end times.
• Ability to read and interpret mathematical measurements of glass sizes and delivery schedules, as well as effectively use a tape measure.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Strong customer relations and interpersonal skills.
