Driver CDL B

Key Responsibilities

• Safe And Professional Driving
• Operate a CDL B commercial vehicle (flatbed, box truck, or boom truck) to deliver building materials to customer locations and job sites.
• Adhere to all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
• Safely load, secure, and unload materials to prevent damage during transit.

Customer Service Excellence

• Serve as a professional and courteous ambassador for SBSI, ensuring positive customer interactions.
• Confirm delivery details with customers upon arrival and obtain proper documentation (signatures, invoices, receipts).
• Address customer inquiries or concerns professionally and communicate any issues to the dispatch team.

Operational Efficiency & Teamwork

• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and trip logs.
• Absorb and assist in warehouse operations when necessary, including loading/unloading trucks and organizing materials.
• Work collaboratively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and sales teams to ensure smooth delivery schedules.

Requirements

• Valid CDL B license with a clean driving record.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of commercial driving experience, preferably in the building materials or construction industry.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices.
• Ability to operate a forklift, Moffett, or boom truck (training available if needed).
• Strong attention to safety protocols, road conditions, and vehicle maintenance.
• Excellent customer service skills with a professional and friendly demeanor.
• Ability to lift 50-100 lbs and handle physical labor as needed.
