Key Responsibilities
- Safe And Professional Driving
- Operate a CDL B commercial vehicle (flatbed, box truck, or boom truck) to deliver building materials to customer locations and job sites.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Safely load, secure, and unload materials to prevent damage during transit.
Customer Service Excellence
- Serve as a professional and courteous ambassador for SBSI, ensuring positive customer interactions.
- Confirm delivery details with customers upon arrival and obtain proper documentation (signatures, invoices, receipts).
- Address customer inquiries or concerns professionally and communicate any issues to the dispatch team.
Operational Efficiency & Teamwork
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and trip logs.
- Absorb and assist in warehouse operations when necessary, including loading/unloading trucks and organizing materials.
- Work collaboratively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and sales teams to ensure smooth delivery schedules.
Requirements
- Valid CDL B license with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of commercial driving experience, preferably in the building materials or construction industry.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices.
- Ability to operate a forklift, Moffett, or boom truck (training available if needed).
- Strong attention to safety protocols, road conditions, and vehicle maintenance.
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional and friendly demeanor.
- Ability to lift 50-100 lbs and handle physical labor as needed.
Pay
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
