Driver

Peregrine Senior Living at Guilderland, located in Slingerlands, NY, is a leading provider of senior assisted living and memory care, committed to delivering exceptional care and supervision to its residents.

About the role

We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Driver to transport residents to social and other destinations safely and reliably.

Responsibilities

• Drive vehicle from community to social and other various destinations according to assigned schedule
• Assist residents into and out of vehicle in a safe manner
• Secure passengers’ wheelchairs and walkers to restraining devices to stabilize during trip
• Practice safe driving techniques at all times
• Clean and service vehicle with fuel, lubricants, and accessories; report and coordinate vehicle maintenance repairs
• Work with Director of Activities to deliver creative and exciting resident activities meeting individual needs and interests within the community

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
• Five (5) or more years of driving experience required
• Able to operate a seven (7) to sixteen (16) passenger bus preferred

$18.00 - $20.00/hour – based on experience
