Position Summary

Livestock Nutrition Center, a leading regional feed manufacturer, is seeking a qualified candidate with a Class A CDL to join our team. This position involves operating heavy trucks and trailers to deliver bulk feed, bagged feed, and/or feed supplements to customers within a 200-mile radius.

Responsibilities & Duties

• Safely deliver LNC livestock feed products to customers as directed and collect payment for goods delivered and delivery charges as needed.
• Maintain relationships with customers and display a professional and courteous attitude.
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical and safety issues, and maintain driver and truck logs.
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules while adhering to truck driving rules and regulations.
• Operate hydraulic systems on trailers, set up trucks for appropriate delivery, and deliver exceptional customer service.
• Report defects, accidents, or violations and strictly adhere to safety requirements.

Qualifications & Skills

• Proven work experience as a truck driver with a minimum of 2 years.
• Current and valid Class A Commercial driver’s license.
• Ability to work weekends and on a rotating and seasonal basis.
• Physically qualified to drive a CMV, able to lift up to 50 lbs, and maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions.
• Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software.
• Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations.
• At least 21 years old and able to read and speak English.
• No recent moving or driving violations; no convictions for offenses involving commercial vehicles.
• Willingness to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment references.
