Driver

About the role

The Jenni Kayne Driver is a key position within the Operations team. The Driver will load and distribute home furniture to Jenni Kayne’s customers. The ideal candidate will represent the company in a professional, responsible manner and deliver best-in-class customer service to achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction.

Role and Responsibilities

• Loading, transporting, and delivering items to customers in a safe and timely manner
• Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules
• Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record
• Working in state-of-the-art facilities and driving Jenni Kayne vehicles
• Interacting daily with customers face-to-face at their homes, representing Jenni Kayne delivery standards
• Preparing reports and other documents relating to deliveries
• Attending safety meetings and discussing relevant topics with managers and the Operations team
• Ensuring that customer standards are met for care and consideration of customer needs
• Keeping the warehouse clean and organized daily
• Loading boxes into trucks for deliveries
• Receiving and putting away inventory
• Absiding by all company safety and hygiene regulations
• Performing other related duties as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• At least 6 months of professional experience driving a 26-foot box truck or larger commercial vehicle
• Strong time management skills
• Light assembly experience preferred
• Attentive listener and effective communicator
• Professional and customer service-oriented
• Attention to detail

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to travel frequently
• Ability to drive, lift, reach, pull, and carry heavy items for extended periods
• Must be able to physically move furniture and lift up to 50+ pounds
• Use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other equipment to move items around
• Prolonged periods sitting in a trailer cab for long periods of time
