Driver

Job Summary

This position requires a Class A CDL License, 21 years of age, and a clean driving record with 6 months to 1 year of DOT driving experience. The employee will transport freight daily between various locations using a 24' straight truck and tractor and trailer.

Job Functions (Duties, Responsibilities, and Requirements)

• Follow safety rules and work procedures.
• Drive 24' straight truck and tractor and trailer to transport materials to and from specified destinations.
• Prepare receipts for the load picked up.
• Maintain truck logs according to state and federal regulations.
• Maintain telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions.
• Position blocks and/or tie rope around items to secure cargo during transit.
• May load and unload truck; inspect truck equipment and supplies, such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
• Clean the work area or vehicle.
• Perform other duties as needed.
