Driver Associate Non CDL

Job Summary

Responsible for specialized warehouse tasks in loading, unloading, order pulling, shipping, returns, forklift operation, fabrication, counter work, and delivering product to customers when needed. The role requires operation of a company vehicle greater than 10,001 GVW but less than 26,001 GVW, with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report.

Responsibilities

• Complete tasks such as loading, unloading, sorting, picking, stocking, staging, fabrication, and transportation of goods.
• Carry heavy merchandise (50‑300 pounds) up and down stairs using body straps and/or a furniture dolly.
• Check items against purchase orders and packing slips; report shortages, damages, and other discrepancies.
• File orders for delivery and place supplies and equipment in proper storage.
• Operate a forklift or other machinery to complete tasks.
• Drive company vehicles (non‑CDL) to pick up incoming stock or deliver materials to designated locations; serve as an emergency driver when needed.
• Perform required inspections of vehicles and supplies to ensure road safety.
• Prepare and maintain records in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED (strongly preferred).
• 0‑2 years of experience in warehouse or related responsibilities.
• Valid driver’s license from state of residence; acceptable MVR required.
• Knowledge of warehouse procedures, requisitions, purchase orders, invoices, and delivery documents.
• Ability to operate a company vehicle (greater than 10,001 GVW but less than 26,001 GVW).

Nature of Work

Selects correct processes from clearly prescribed rules, past practices, or instruction. Seeks advice and guidance on non‑routine or problem areas from a supervisor. Deviations from the norm are cleared by the supervisor. Works under close supervision with limited latitude and independent judgment, typically involving detailed checks or close review by a senior coworker or supervisor.

Work Environment

Typically located in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors that may cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness, such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes. Requires intermittent periods of continuous physical exertion, including walking, standing, stooping, climbing, and lifting or maneuvering heavy (50+ pounds) or awkward material or equipment. May involve overnight travel less than 10 % of the time.
