Essential Duties/Skills/Responsibilities/Qualifications
- Ensure that Rehabilitation Teacher arrives at appointments safely and on time by developing transportation route plans.
- Assist program staff with consumer visits, including demonstration of independent living aids.
- Ensure that assistive devices are delivered to or picked up from consumers as needed.
- Act as sighted guide for program staff and consumers as needed. Training will be provided and candidate must be willing to learn this skill.
- Aid in filling out forms and applications.
- Aid in reaching the goals assigned to the program, including some assistance in program documentation.
- Provide information and referral services.
- Provide office support as needed.
- Assist with senior fairs and presentations.
- Ability to independently operate or learn to operate the League’s computer network and software in order to track community activities, information and referral services, record accurate mileage usage, and any other required electronic reporting.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required and related experience preferred.
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license, pass background and driving record checks and provide proof of insurance and be willing to travel frequently throughout the service area.
Pay
Hourly Wage: $15 + mileage reimbursement
