About the role

Seaboard Drilling, LLC is currently accepting applications for an immediate opening based in our Somersworth, New Hampshire office. Candidate will work as a Drilling Assistant to support the operation of a test boring drill rig with an experienced Driller.

Responsibilities

• Safely assist the driller with all aspects of drill rig operation and maintenance
• Soil boring and sampling
• Rock coring
• Measuring water levels
• Installing monitoring wells
• Installation of instrumentation
• Carrying and handling tooling
• Operation and basic maintenance of heavy equipment including drill rigs, medium duty trucks, trailers and ATV

Requirements

• Full-time position, primarily M-F schedule
• Familiarity working with and around heavy equipment and operations
• Must be able to lift and carry heavy tooling and supplies up to 100 pounds
• Must be able to work outdoors in all seasons, temperatures, and conditions
• Regular travel to short-term work sites throughout New England, with overnight stays on some weekdays
• Occasional night work
