Responsibilities
- Affords drilling operations, including borings and Geoprobe work
- Locates boring positions in the field using maps, plans, or GPS systems
- Records required drilling data accurately
- Reports project-specific issues to the Project Manager or Supervisor
- Performs routine maintenance on drill rigs and support trucks and reports repair needs
- Fulfills daily loading tasks for drill rigs and support vehicles with necessary supplies
- Completes timesheets and field documentation promptly and accurately
- Maintains professional behavior and quality standards
- Works out of town and on non-standard schedules as required
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED
- Less than 1 year of related experience
- If driving for, or on behalf of, any ECS subsidiary, a valid driver's license is required
- OSHA 40 certification preferred
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to read maps, follow directions, and interpret engineering and construction plans
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Hands-on experience with drill rigs, drilling procedures, and sampling methods preferred
- Ability to travel overnight as needed for project-related work
