Drilled Shaft Inspector, Honolulu

About the role

Tutor Perini Corporation is seeking a Drilled Shaft Inspector to join their Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation (HART) project in Honolulu, HI.

Responsibilities

• Inspect to contract specifications the constructed drilled shafts and testing procedures
• Develop understanding/working knowledge of company quality control program, company standards, procedures, codes, etc. required to perform assigned work
• Perform inspections and witness tests applicable to discipline to determine acceptability of work
• Assist in maintaining work performance records, inspection records and other related items; assure correctness of all documents
• Assist in preparation/implementation of quality control procedures, i.e., inspection instructions, control measuring and test equipment, etc.
• Assist in coordinating quality control inspection schedules with other department schedules
• Participate in internal/external quality control audits
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Construction Management
• 5 or more years of experience in testing, inspection, supervision or management in support of large public works projects
• Previous experience as an Inspector of Drilled Shafts for heavy civil / transit projects
• Active certification for drilled shaft inspection and a bachelor’s degree in engineering, geology, construction management or similar (preferred)
• An understanding and experience with contract specifications as they apply to quality control and/or assurance (preferred)
• Experience with Microsoft Office (preferred)

Expected Salary range is $120,000- 160,000 depending upon experience.
