Drill & Shovel Mechanic – Field Service (USA – Various Locations)

About the role

Mader Group USA is seeking experienced Drill & Shovel Mechanics to support our field service operations across multiple U.S. sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on heavy mining equipment
• Diagnose and repair issues with drill and shovel systems, including Atlas Copco / Epiroc drills (DM series, Pit Viper exposure preferred), Sandvik drills and support equipment, and general hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Change out components and perform breakdown repairs
• Implement planned maintenance schedules
• Work independently across remote or rotating mine sites

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting heavy mining equipment
• Strong working knowledge of drill and shovel systems, including:
• Atlas Copco / Epiroc drills (DM series, Pit Viper exposure preferred)
• Sandvik drills and support equipment
• General hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems across mobile mining fleets
• Experience with component changeouts, breakdown repairs, and planned maintenance
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capability in field environments
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background and drug screening
