Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair equipment with minimal assistance.
  • Proficient at all basic tasks including equipment PM's, component removal and installation, lubrication practices and basic welding skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of 12V/24V electrical systems.
  • Demonstrate strong safety practices including lockout / tag out and area cleanliness.
  • Understand maintenance workflows, computer systems and related paperwork.
  • Perform duties in an environment that requires teamwork and cooperation.
  • Operate basic maintenance equipment includes forklifts, knuckle booms, and service cranes.
  • Perform major drill equipment component replacement.
  • These tasks also include washing equipment, staging equipment in a safe manor to allow the change of components, documenting the proper data from the components and returning cores for rebuild.
  • Strong working knowledge of hydraulic systems.
  • The ability to read hydraulic and electrical schematics.
  • Work with the DDS Planner in planning, parts ordering and workflow management.
  • Certified to make A/C repairs.

Qualifications

  • Practical knowledge of drill equipment.
  • High School/GED or vocational training preferred.
  • Previous experience as drill mechanic preferred.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Self-starter.
  • Self-motivated.
  • PREFERRED: Atlas Copco experience.
