Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair equipment with minimal assistance.
- Proficient at all basic tasks including equipment PM's, component removal and installation, lubrication practices and basic welding skills.
- Strong working knowledge of 12V/24V electrical systems.
- Demonstrate strong safety practices including lockout / tag out and area cleanliness.
- Understand maintenance workflows, computer systems and related paperwork.
- Perform duties in an environment that requires teamwork and cooperation.
- Operate basic maintenance equipment includes forklifts, knuckle booms, and service cranes.
- Perform major drill equipment component replacement.
- These tasks also include washing equipment, staging equipment in a safe manor to allow the change of components, documenting the proper data from the components and returning cores for rebuild.
- Strong working knowledge of hydraulic systems.
- The ability to read hydraulic and electrical schematics.
- Work with the DDS Planner in planning, parts ordering and workflow management.
- Certified to make A/C repairs.
Qualifications
- Practical knowledge of drill equipment.
- High School/GED or vocational training preferred.
- Previous experience as drill mechanic preferred.
- Strong work ethic.
- Self-starter.
- Self-motivated.
- PREFERRED: Atlas Copco experience.
