DRD Residential Direct Care Associate Adult Temp
About the role
This is an ongoing temporary position working 16 - 24 hours per week. Shifts may include Evenings, Nights, Weekends, and Holidays.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the most vulnerable have access to a high quality healthcare system in which prevention works, treatment is effective, and people recover.
- Provide positive mentoring and guidance to individuals impacted by behavioral health disorders.
- Serve as a role model, exhibiting a positive and respectful approach in all interactions.
- Teach daily living activities, including household tasks, hygiene tasks, effective communication, and socialization.
- Teach self advocacy and self help strategies to assist them in reaching their goals.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Two years of work experience providing direct care to special populations.
- A valid driver’s license and successful completion of the assigned defensive driving course during new hire orientation.

- Must lead with LIGHT - leading with hope, instilling purpose and meaning, galvanizing gratitude, honoring health, and talking, walking and teaching civility, kindness and love for all.
Skills
- A passion for teaching individuals life skills and how to overcome barriers that may be present in their lives.
Benefits
Will consider filling this position at a reduced pay rate as a:
- Direct Care Associate II, which requires a high school diploma or GED – (CNA Training pending location).
