DRC Lifeguard

Converse County School District #1 is seeking Lifeguards to make a positive impact on youth and build lasting relationships with students as part of our extra-curricular team.

About the Role

Responsible for ensuring the safety of facility patrons by preventing and responding to emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Maintains constant surveillance of patrons in the facility; acts immediately and appropriately to ensure safety in emergencies.
• Enforces all aquatic facility policies, rules, and regulations in a positive and professional manner.
• Presents a professional appearance and attitude at all times; maintains a high standard of customer service.
• Communicates any potentially dangerous elements of the facility to the Aquatics Director.
• Recognizes and responds effectively to emergencies.
• Documents and reports all disciplinary problems and accidents to the Aquatic Director.
• Inspects the aquatic facility daily and reports unsafe conditions and equipment to the supervisor.
• Completes records and reports.
• Attends all staff meetings and in-service trainings.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• CPR/First Aid Certificate.
• Red Cross Lifeguard Training Certificate.

Pay

Salary follows Category C, Step 1: $13.37 per hour.
