Drawer Box Assembler , 1st Shift

Job Summary

A Drawer Box Assembler builds, rails, and fronts drawer boxes for cabinets.

Essential Functions

• Use air tools, hand tools, jigs, and other equipment to build drawer boxes, prepare dummy fronts, and install rails/clips onto completed boxes
• Use glue to assemble drawer boxes and hot melt glue to attach rails to boxes
• Ensure quality specifications are met for all aspects of drawer box assembly
• Accurately interpret production labels
• Maintain a safe work environment, including housekeeping

Qualifications

• Required Skills/Abilities: Ability to identify cabinet types, wood species, finishes, drawer front types and styles; ability to use basic math concepts and read a standard tape measure
• Required Education & Experience: High school diploma or G.E.D.
• Required Physical Ability: Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time; frequent bending, crouching, pulling and pushing; regularly lift and/or move up to 20 lbs., occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.

Working Conditions

• Working in an indoor environment with excessive hot, humid, and cold temperatures
• Protective safety gear will be required including safety glasses, and gloves
• The noise level is usually moderate to high
• Occasional overtime and weekend work as required
