About the role
Harrison Middle School is seeking an enthusiastic educator to lead middle school students through one or two productions: a 6th-grade play and a 7th/8th-grade musical or play. Each production would require 8-10 weeks of after-school practices followed by a live performance. There is a possibility that all three grade levels participate in one production, but that will be determined by the advisor and building administrators.
Responsibilities
- Lead rehearsals for 6th-grade play and 7th/8th-grade musical or play
- Plan and coordinate after-school practices
- Prepare students for live performances
- Work closely with Harrison Middle School administration and teachers
- Ensure safety and well-being of students during rehearsals and performances
Requirements
- Up-to-date CHRC certification or willingness to obtain one
Qualifications
- Experience leading theatrical productions
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively with students of various ages
Skills
- Excellent leadership and management skills
- Knowledge of educational theater techniques
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
