Member Duties
- Use interviews, surveys, ethnographic research, and service mapping to better understand the homelessness service ecosystem in the Des Moines metropolitan area.
- Work with service providers, community stakeholders, and individuals experiencing homelessness to identify unmet needs, barriers to access, and effective practices for supporting unhoused individuals.
- Collaborate with Drake University students to conduct research and develop maps illustrating the distribution of homelessness services and areas of greatest need.
- Create a sustainable framework for connecting Drake students, faculty, and staff with organizations serving individuals experiencing homelessness and develop a long-term plan to support ongoing community engagement.
