Drainage Project Engineer (Entry Level)

About the role

Garver is seeking an entry-level Drainage Project Engineer to join our growing Transportation Team in Lawrenceville, GA. This position offers exposure to many aspects of drainage engineering and the opportunity to work alongside a dynamic team.

Responsibilities

• Work on post-construction and construction stormwater management, stormwater drainage systems design, stormwater permitting, and H&H modeling for bridges and culverts.
• Prepare plans, specifications, cost estimates, reports, and calculations related to drainage, E&S Control, LID/GI, and Stormwater Control Measures (SCMs).
• Gain real-world experience and training in industry-related software.
• Collaborate as a strong team player committed to becoming a key member of a highly productive design team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification or ability to become registered within 6 months.
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office.

Preferred Skills

• 0 to 2 years of relevant experience and/or prior internships.
• Experience with relevant software, including but not limited to: ArcGIS, Microstation, ORD, HydraCAD, Hydraflow, PondPack, StormCAD, Autodesk SSA, Bentley Storm and Sanitary, FlowMaster, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, and HY-8.
