Drain Technician – Rodding & Hydro Jetting

We're looking for a drain technician who knows how to clear a line. You'll run service calls across the northern Chicago suburbs clearing blockages with rodding machines—everything from sink and tub lines to main sewer lines—and running our hydro jetter to clean out grease, roots, and scale.

Responsibilities

• Respond to dispatched calls at residential and commercial properties
• Diagnose blockage locations in drain lines
• Select and operate the appropriate rodding machine and cable for each job
• Clear blockages and test lines to ensure proper flow
• Set follow-up appointments for a Lead Technician to camera-inspect the line and identify the cause of the backup
• Earn bonuses for every camera-inspection lead you generate
• Maintain cleanliness at job sites, leaving them cleaner than you found them

Requirements

• 1+ year of experience rodding drains (residential or commercial)
• Valid driver’s license

Nice to Have

• Hydro jetting experience
• Drain installation or excavation experience (backhoe/skid steer)
• Familiarity with ServiceTitan or similar dispatch software

Pay

$50,000–$100,000 per year (based on experience and performance) plus lead-set bonuses.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday–Friday.
