The Big Task
Lead customers, based on solutions provided, to making confident, informed decisions.
Key Sub Tasks
- Complete any residential drainage service calls within their current area of expertise.
- Establish customer rapport to instill confidence in our team and sell the right products and services with integrity.
- Ask proper lifestyle questions to troubleshoot slow or backed up drains within the home.
- Educate and assist customers in choosing the best finance options and maintenance plans.
- Explain replacement opportunities for aging, damaged, or underperforming waste and vent systems.
- Manage all jobs to achieve proposed gross margins.
- Able to exceed minimum KPI goals.
- Successfully complete follow up calls.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and well-stocked truck. Ensure proper PPE gear is always utilized and on hand. Maintain provided equipment and tools.
- Participate actively in all training exercises, morning meetings, trade shows, and retreats.
- Able to work in a highly productive team environment. Working alongside multiple departments.
- Train and mentor apprentices to ensure quick, accurate diagnosis and proper equipment use and handling.
- Be accurate and timely with all related digital invoices, upload sewer camera footage, note and detail jobs thoroughly, timesheets, and emails. Can follow Rodenhiser’s S.O.P’s
- Knowledge of processes across multiple departments with the ability to use them effectively.
- Collaborate: Able to know how and when to hand off structural pipe failures, excavations and licensed plumbing needs to our dedicated plumbing department.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated proficiency in all Junior Service Technician abilities.
- Minimum of 90 days tracking KPI and achieving KPI goals.
- Fewer than 30 hours of Call Backs as a Junior Service Technician.
- Completion of Nexstar Service System training.
- Engaged in further technical development (i.e. Different disciplines and cross-training).
- Competent in the use of all tools and resources related to basic service calls.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must have a current EPA universal certificate.
- Base knowledge of plumbing codes and proper safety standards.
- Ability to read and understand policy manuals, safety, rules, and procedures.
- Ability to take timely action to solve problems using established policies and procedures.
- Ability to take direction and/or technical instruction.
- 1-3 years, minimum, experience operating main drain machines, hand drain machines, jetting machines, locators, cameras.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to explain technical information to non-technical customers.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Good physical condition is a must. At times, this position may require bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and crawling.
- Frequently, you must be able to read and comprehend, write effectively and professionally, perform minor calculations, orally communicate with all levels within the organization, reason, and analyze data.
- At times, you may need to operate tools and equipment involved in plumbing service work, as well as a computer tablet and phone.
