Draftsperson

Level Crane Systems is an exceptional team of professionals dedicated to delivering world-class overhead crane solutions. We take pride in our positive work culture and commitment to innovation. We are currently seeking a Draftsperson / Surveyor to join our rapidly growing company.
Position Overview
This is primarily a drafting and field survey role, with a secondary but meaningful focus on creating and developing standard product designs across our overhead and gantry crane product lines in collaboration with our engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed technical drawings, assembly drawings, and part specifications using AutoCAD and SolidWorks
- Develop 3D models and renderings for crane components and systems
- Interpret and apply weld symbols, geometric tolerances, and facility layout requirements
- Maintain drawing standards, revision control, and documentation libraries
- Generate bills of materials (BOMs) and parts lists from 3D models
- Support manufacturing teams with drawing clarifications and field-related modifications
- Collaborate with engineers to ensure drawings meet design specifications and manufacturing
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of professional drafting experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks (certification preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret weld symbols, GD&T, and geometric tolerances
- Experience reading facility layouts, architectural drawings, and site plans
- Willingness to travel locally for site surveys and field measurements
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Associate degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field (or equivalent Experience)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with crane, lifting equipment, or heavy machinery industries
- Knowledge of structural steel design and fabrication
- Familiarity with AISC or CMAA standards and safety regulations
- Experience creating or maintaining standard product drawing libraries
- Experience with PDM/PLM systems
