Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Checking dimension of parts, materials to be used, relation of one part to another, and relation of various parts to a whole structure or project.
  • Utilize knowledge of various machines, engineering practices, mathematics, building materials, and other physical sciences to review drawings.
  • Discuss any adjustments or changes necessary or desired with drafters.
  • Trains drafters on recognizing errors and corrections needed.
  • Draws charts for representation of statistical data.
  • Has the ability to draw finished designs from sketches.
  • Uses computer assisted drafting (CAD) equipment and software (SOLIDWORKS).
  • Designs and implements a set of standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Comprehensive in 3D is a must.
