Drafter III

About the role

Electrical Drafter position located in Duluth, MN. On‑site with a hybrid schedule (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday in office; Wednesday, Friday remote). Day‑shift, minimum 1‑year contract with direct‑hire potential.

Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and maintain engineering drawings across mechanical, piping, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines
• Translate engineering concepts, project deliverables, and field redlines into accurate CAD drawings
• Review and incorporate site markups, photos, and as‑built information into final deliverables
• Ensure all drawings comply with company drafting standards (DS 001, DS 002, DS 003) and applicable industry practices
• Support preparation of Issued for Construction (IFC) and As‑Built drawing packages
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, field teams, and external service providers
• Maintain drawing control, revision history, and documentation through the project lifecycle
• Support multi‑project delivery in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment

Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years drafting experience in the oil and gas industry
• Demonstrated experience working with multiple engineering disciplines (mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation)
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit
• Experience developing and updating P&IDs, plot plans, facility layouts, and equipment drawings
• Ability to interpret field redlines, site photos, and project documentation
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Ability to work independently in a contract/remote or distributed team environment
• Familiarity with pipeline and facility operations and knowledge of instrumentation, control systems, and tagging conventions

Pay

Starting at $40.00 per hour. Higher rates available for the well qualified.
