Requirements
- Eight plus years experience in a drafter / cad operator role
- Two years specialized vocational training or an associate’s degree in a related field
- Demonstrated ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents to produce accurate, detailed CAD drafts in compliance with DoD requirements
- Proficient in using industry-standard CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and drafting tools to generate and modify technical schematics according to project specifications
- Possess an active DoD secret security clearance
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to revise existing drawings to incorporate design changes and quality feedback while maintaining compliance with contract guidelines
- Possession of advanced 3D modeling and simulation tools to enhance design visualization and verification processes
- Experience with document control software and product lifecycle management systems to streamline drafting processes and revisions
- Proven ability to mentor and collaborate with junior drafters, fostering continuous process improvement
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills to quickly resolve drafting issues and optimize design workflows
Skills
