Drafter & CAD Operator

Apply Solidworks Computer Aided Design (CAD) principles to support the design, analysis, manufacture, or maintenance of electro-mechanical systems. Apply specific functional, working, and general industry knowledge. Develop or contribute to solutions for a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Work independently with some guidance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sets of complex drawings and apply mathematical formulas
• Plan and prepare graphic presentations of complex items

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience drafting or illustrating in the electronics field, including computerized drafting applications and digital imaging techniques
• Experience with Solidworks 3-D modeling software
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
• HS diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with DoD processes and procedures
• Excellent creative problem-solving skills
• Associate’s degree in Drafting and Design
• Solidworks 3DExperience Creator Certification
• Solidworks Certified Model Based Design (CSWP-MDB) Certification

Pay

The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). Salary is determined by various factors, including location, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, contract-specific affordability, and organizational requirements.

Work Model

• Remote: Primarily remote, with occasional in-person work at a Booz Allen or customer facility.
• Hybrid: Frequent work from a Booz Allen facility, with potential visits to customer facilities as required by the role.
• Onsite: Work primarily performed at a Booz Allen office or customer facility, collaborating directly with colleagues and customers.

Employees working virtually are generally expected to have their cameras on during meetings to support engagement and effective communication.
